ClawKeep is free and open source. Pay only if you want managed cloud storage.

Plans

Free tier

The free plan includes 1 GB of encrypted cloud storage and 1 workspace. No credit card required. Use it for personal projects or to evaluate ClawKeep before upgrading.

If you only need local backups (your own NAS, S3, or disk), the CLI is MIT-licensed and free forever — no account needed.

Upgrading

1. Go to Dashboard → Billing
2. Click "Upgrade to Cloud"
3. Complete payment via Stripe checkout
4. New limits apply immediately

You can also upgrade via the API: POST /api/billing/checkout.

Overage billing

If you exceed your plan's 1 GB storage limit, overage is billed at $0.50/GB at the end of the billing cycle. The dashboard shows warnings at 80% and 95% usage.

1. Daily usage is tracked (peak storage per day)
2. At month end, the peak storage for the billing period is calculated
3. Overage = (peak - 1 GB) × $0.50/GB
4. Stripe invoice includes base plan + overage line item

Cancellation

Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing or via the Stripe customer portal. Your data is retained until the end of the billing period, then downgraded to free tier limits.

If your storage exceeds the free tier limit after downgrade, backups are paused until you reduce storage or re-subscribe.

Self-hosted (free forever)

The ClawKeep CLI works with any S3-compatible storage. You can back up to:

• Local disk or NAS
• AWS S3
• Cloudflare R2
• MinIO
• Backblaze B2
• Any S3-compatible endpoint
